Collaborating in Weave to Review, QC, and Verify your Documents

Content Overview

  • How to collaborate in Weave for review & feedback
  • Using Suggestions to provide direct edits and revisions as feedback
  • Providing context & feedback to another team member post Auto-Verification
  • Gathering feedback from non-Authors via Comments

Key Benefits of these Collaboration Features

There are three primary ways to collaborate within the Weave platform during the various review processes in the writing workflow- Comments, Suggestions, and insights/comments via Auto-Verification.

Each collaboration feature enables an author to gather feedback at several different points in the writing process and from different types of stakeholders in the document.

As a rule of thumb, Comments allow non-authors, in many cases- senior reviewers, to provide directional feedback and enable discussion within the document.

Suggestions enable other authors to provide direct edits that are helpful during the mid and late-stage drafting process.

Finally, while we covered Auto-Verification as a useful tool during the drafting process, you can also assign another user to Verify, Flag, and/or provide context & justification to Auto-Verified content.

Technical Process Overview

Comments can be made in context on any content in the Document

  • Open the Comments Panel on the right side of the browser window
  • Highlight the relevant text and select the speech bubble icon
  • Comments will capture the user who left the comment, the time stamp, and you can also reply to a Comment, enabling discussion

Note, the Comments Panel and Comment functionality are only available while in Editing, and Suggesting modes.  They are disabled while in Verifying mode.

Changing the Document to Suggesting Mode enables any author or Contributor-licensed user to make redlined edits and changes in the document.

  • Select Suggesting Mode and begin modifying the text.
    • Suggestions to Delete content will appear with a red strikethrough
    • Added/new content will appear in blue
  • Opening the Suggestion Panel using the Suggestions button on the right-side menu brings up a list of the history of Suggestions
  • Suggestions can then be accepted or rejected by using the Check Mark or X icons
  • Resolved Suggestions (both accepted and rejected) will be hidden automatically from the panel, but can be found by selecting the Show resolved button

Note, new Suggestions can only be created or resolved while in Suggesting Mode; however, they will appear while in both Editing and Suggesting Modes.  Suggestions will not appear while in Verifying mode.

Finally, the Auto-Verification Mode allows any document author to assign another team member to review, manually verify, and provide feedback or context after the AI has completed its initial Auto-Verification.

  • Change the Document to Verifying Mode and select the team members you would like to allow to verify, flag, or leave context.  You do not need an authoring license to participate as a Data Verification Reviewer

  • After a Data Verification Review selects Verify or Flagged statement, each respective sentence or cell value will be marked with a green or red leaf fold as a visual indicator that that sentence has been reviewed.
